Rural and Regional Unit Trust
The Rural and Regional Unit Trust was established to raise the necessary funds to build the new superannuation fund – RuralSuper Australia
It started with the initial unit holder investing $50,000
Currently, there are 23 unit holders. The majority are rural based small business owners who have collectively invested $1.47 million
Units ARE still available and details can be obtained by contacting the Trustee (RuralSuper Australia Pty Ltd)
Regional Development Committees
RuralSuper mandates a minimum of 30% of contributions from each region is invested back into that region
A regional committee will be established in each region to assist with identifying suitable investments in their region, and to assist the local Business Development Managers
Business Development Managers
RuralSuper Australia will be appointing a Business Development Manager is every region to assist members of existing superannuation funds to join RuralSuper. These will be full time positions
